Earth Day was observed with great zest and zeal in JPS. The special assembly began with the pledge to save ‘Mother earth’. The day witnessed a plethora of activities in which students of all classes participated enthusiastically. Junior class students participated in ‘Show and Tell ‘activity giving the details of how earth’s temperature is increasing. Students of class III and IV showed their talent in ‘Best out of waste’ activity by resuming the waste material. Eco club of the school showcased a play on global warming’ Dharti ko Bukhaar’. Class V students sensitized the audience by giving solutions to save Earth through a heart touching poem. Mind scratching quiz ‘Nurture Nature’ was the highlight of the day organized for class IX-X. Ms Manju, a dynamic environmentalist from NGO ‘Anadi’ was spellbound with the performance of the students. She gave away the message to recycle the paper instead of wasting it.
Principal Sudha Babbar applauded the efforts put up by the students and the teachers and emphasised them to stick to the pledge taken by them on Earth Day and also prizes were given to the winners of the various activities on the day.
