Students of Jainendra Public School, Panchkula, celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights with great enthusiasm and zeal. A special assembly was organized for the students in which they took a pledge that they will celebrate the festival with earthen lamps, sweets and togetherness and will gift a plant to their dear ones and hence will go green this Diwali. Debate and Essay Writing competitions were also conducted on the same theme. Bulletin Board decorations were carried out in the school to educate and sensitive the children about enjoying the festival without bursting crackers and yet keeping the spirit alive. Principal extended her greetings and applauded the students’ efforts.
